Last hard long run–Mardi Gras marathon prep

Most of the time I look forward to a hard session (success junkie?) but I have been dreading this run all week.  It has been more like studying for a hard exam.
Last week the 15 mile run did not go as planned for a number of reasons.  This weekend is the 20 miler at speed (20 miles @ 7:05 minutes per mile).  I am better prepared.  I have rested the legs for two days.  I am packing the race belt – 5 gels.  I am right mentally.  It is time to execute.

I am headed out the door.

20 miles in the bank - a BIG THANK YOU to all of the encouragement on the trace today! I slowed a little bit with the water stops and such - but I will call it a success.
