The lane dividers came in at the Payne Center. That is a good thing. They were a little short but they managed to attach them. They really calmed the water. I guess this is the end of open water swimming in the pool.
However, I am not sure if the lanes had anything to do with it but the pool was unusually warm. Either the ambient air (it is hot here in Mississippi) is increasing the temperature or they have turned on the heater for the water aerobics classes. It is too warm right now. We had a challenging workout session and everyone was overheating.
The workout was several sets of either 300 / 250 / 200 on 4:30 followed by multiples of faster sets of 75’s. Although I was getting ample recovery time on the 250’s I was ready to start swimming again just to cool off. The total set was about 2500 yards.

I hate swimming in hot pools! I love the outdoor pool season, but by mid-July, I am almost forced back inside to find cooler water. I can only imagine what it's like in Mississippi!
Never swam in a hot or even "warm" pool. I can't imagine it being comfortable at all and I think I may panic a bit breathing wise from that.
Our heat went away and is hiding again. Stupid weather.
Heated pools don't bother me yet, but that's because I can't swim very far between breaks. My wife despises heated pools.
Yes, the pool was really warm this morning when I went at 6. I am sure I wasn't working as hard as you since you are a known wild man, but even I was feeling the heat. The new dividers are great and with the flags back up it has almost a festive feel.
